The Roses were well prepared for their first game of the season off the back of a good training session on the Wednesday before where every girl worked hard and showed good quality in practice. After the summer break, the Blazers were back for their first friendly of the new season against Coalville. With the season fast approaching and the all-inclusive holidays now out of the way, the AFCMB Bullets made the short trip to Ashby Ivanhoe Crusaders for a well-contested pre-season friendly. After a few weeks without a game, both sides started brightly, moving the ball well and producing an entertaining end-to-end contest. The final game of the season with the Belles needing a win to finish a very respectable 4th place. The Belles were without the injured Evie and Lols, with Caitlin and Ava S also being away.
