Blazers in the heart of the herd!
On a crisp morning, the Blazers travelled to Tamworth to take on on Deer Park. The Blazers charged into action, playing with the same energy and elegance you’d expect from a herd of young deer sprinting through a park. From kick‑off, the boys moved the ball like a herd weaving through the park trails, quick slick passing, sharp turns on the ball, and superb runs that kept Deer Park guessing. The Blazers moving swiftly like the herd to make goal scoring opportunities. The Blazers never stopped bounding forward, or trotting back to defend.
View from the bench:
I thought it was a very efficient display from the boys, a solid foundation defensively, composed and dangerous in attack
Goalscorers - Wyatt, Chance, Josh, Levi
Blazer of the Week - Levi and Chance.
Noah - Always finds himself in the right place at the right time in defence. Rarely misplacing a pass especially down the wing to get the attack going.
Daniel - A debut for his new gloves, and what a debut. Highlights include a top bins save to keep out a certain goal and even made an assist with superb distrubtion.
Wyatt - Has a thunderbolt of a shot on him. When it's hit it stays hit! A smash of a shot for his goal.
Freddie - Put in a big effort for the team. He must have run miles, to work back to the win the ball or to move the ball forward to keep the Blazers on the front foot.
James - Steely determination, making tackles all over the pitch. Keeping the attackers on their toes and wondering where he is going to appear from.
Nathan - Threading the ball through gaps that no one else could. Dictating the play from midfields and a classy through ball to set up a goal.
Luca - With his tricky feet, once he has the ball he does not lose it. Moving past several defenders, taking them out the game with a splitting pass as well.
Chance - Seemed to be on the end of every cross in to box. His brilliant reading of the game got him amongst the goals on a number of occasions.
Levi - Never panics in front of goal. Keeps a calm head at all times. Pulling out his dribbling skills to round defenders and the goalie to be in the goals again.
Josh - In amongst the goals with a tidy bottom corner finish. Linking up the play up front and bringing others in to the attack with his passing.
Let's go Blazers!
