On Sunday 21st June, we hosted our first tournament in which eight girls teams of similar experience or level were invited to take part. This was a bit of a test event for the club to trial the format and process at our venue in Newbold Verdon. Throughout the morning, we saw a relaxed but fun event for the girls with lots of enthusiasm and fantastic football. We are very proud to introduce you to the Bozzy Ballers. Our Mini’s team made up of players from the school years of EYFS and Year 1. The team started in January and is slowly growing, with places still available! AFC Market Bosworth is now recognised as a mental health awareness club with the Leicestershire County Council. The programme trains local organisations, sports clubs, and community venues to recognise signs of poor mental health and signpost individuals to help. It focuses on sports clubs to provide a safe, inclusive environment and to use sport to break down stigma. Our volunteers are being signposted to training to support our members. On Remembrance Sunday, our club stood together to honour all those who gave their lives in service for our country. We remembered the fallen, the veterans, and those still serving today. Their bravery and sacrifice will never be forgotten. From everyone at AFC Market Bosworth, we say with pride — Lest we forget. Thanks to Will, Eddie and Tom representing the Club at today’s memorial service.

Oliwia at the Polish Consulate Oliwia had a meeting at the Polish Consulate in Manchester, where a small group of talented girls were invited for interviews to help them get into the national team. The interview went really well and the national coach, scouts, and representatives from the Polish FA were very impressed.
