What a game by the Blades
What a game that turned into!
Saying they were playing a team in the league above I thought the boys played fantastic
They really held their own first half, defended fantastic and also created some really good chances.
We spoke at half time about fine margins in games like this and making sure we didn't switch off, unfortunately second half we did for the first 5/10 minutes and they capitalised on that going 2-0 up. But credit to the boys reaction, their heads didn't drop and they battled on like it was still 0-0. The final 15 minutes they were outstanding, the pressure they applied to them, they couldnt get out of their own half. We got our goal, 2-1 and we kept on going. A glorious volley by Charlie skimming the outside of the post, I thought we had brought it level. Full credit to this group of lads.
Few mentions from me, Olly joined us today on his first game and I thought he was fantastic, I thought the back 4 of Eddie, Jay, Dan, Ashton and Emerson in goal were solid.
Parents POTM today was Jackson. Throughly deserved, he worked his socks off for the entire game, he never gave up and put everything on the pitch. Well done buddy! 👏
