Gusts, Grit and Goals

Amid swirling winds and relentless rain, the Blazers embraced the challenge head-on. This was a contest between two teams in excellent form, both eager to showcase their quality and determined to come out on top. As expected, it proved to be a fiercely competitive battle from start to finish. In tightly contested games, the smallest moments often prove decisive, and that was certainly the case here, with more than half of the goals coming from set-piece situations that ultimately made the difference.

View from the bench:

A very competitive game for the boys today. I told them before we started that we will get tougher games

Goalscorer - Noah

Blazers of the Week - James and Noah.

Noah - Was commanding at the back, sweeping up everything that came his way. He makes set piece taking look easy, with goals from the penalty spot and a freekick.

Wyatt - The midfield maestro was winning every tackle in the first half and made several key passes in the final third. Second half he stepped up taking over the goalkeeping duties.

Freddie - Always on the move. When the ball moves across to his wing, he always offers up a dangerous attacking option with swift dribbling and direct play.

James - Makes reading the game look easy. Anticipating the pass to make a block, find the key areas for a pass or shot at goal, and was strong in the challenge to protect the possession.

Nathan - Can thread the ball through the eye of a needle. When collecting the ball, he is seeing through balls that cause havoc for the opposition.

Luca - Calm and composed in any situation. Ball scrambling in the box? No problem. Happy to collect the ball, dribble out and find a composed pass down the wing.

Chance - Has found his shooting boots. Was so unlucky with a very smart move and strike in the last minute from the corner. Constantly battling for the ball and in the thick of the action.

Levi - With both feet he has a bag of tricks that has the defenders in knots. During the second half he put in miles of running to win the ball in key areas.

Josh - Stepped up to take on the goalkeeping duties in the first half in his magic retro shirt. Fantastic passing from the back and kept on his toes to keep the goals out first half.

Keep going Blazers!
