On Remembrance Sunday, our club stood together to honour all those who gave their lives in service for our country. We remembered the fallen, the veterans, and those still serving today. Their bravery and sacrifice will never be forgotten. From everyone at AFC Market Bosworth, we say with pride — Lest we forget. After some challenging games against Nuneaton Borough, Rugby Town and Epworth Forest we had near a full squad available against GNG with Lily and Beth the only absentees. Sunday morning saw AFC take on a high flying Anstey Nomads side who had made scoring goals habitual. A very positive training session, that saw tactics, discussion of structure and most importantly happy faces, prefaced the fixture. Great numbers from AFC meant that the girls could be as fresh as possible throughout the game. The Roses faced Epworth in the League Cup, just several games after their 2-2 draw earlier this season. The Roses were missing Kayleigh , Esme and Poppy which would pose some defensive challenges in the full back area. We opted to change formation to try and cover those areas and compact centrally whilst maintaining two upfront. An afternoon kick off last Sunday for the Belles, which saw the Belles squad stretched. Eliza , Scarlet and Monica were all unavailable due to injury and then Lola C was unwell. Oliwia at the Polish Consulate Oliwia had a meeting at the Polish Consulate in Manchester, where a small group of talented girls were invited for interviews to help them get into the national team. The interview went really well and the national coach, scouts, and representatives from the Polish FA were very impressed.
