Historical moment for our young Belles
In just their second game of the season, the AFC Market Bosworth Belles showed fantastic progress, coming away with two well-earned goals and, more importantly, big smiles and a growing understanding of both football and teamwork.
Starting in defence, Erin held the back line strong, battling brilliantly and making some important clearances to keep the opposition at bay.
In midfield, Lola and Millie worked exceptionally well together, creating opportunities and supporting each other all over the pitch. Their teamwork paid off when Millie scored not only her first-ever goal but also the first goal in AFC Market Bosworth Belles history, a special moment for both Millie and the team. Millie later went into goal and made some excellent saves to help her teammates.
Up front, Florence led the attack with great energy, constantly pushing the team forward and giving the opposition defence plenty to think about.
Arabella started the game in goal, where she made some excellent saves, before moving into midfield and making an instant impact by scoring the Belles' second goal of the game.
Evelyn and Hazel both made their presence felt in defence and midfield, making some great interceptions and working hard for the team throughout the match.
The progress these girls are making is incredible. They are growing in confidence every week, learning more with every game, and going from strength to strength as a team. The two goals from Millie and Arabella were fantastic rewards for their efforts, but the teamwork, determination and enjoyment shown by every player were the real highlights of the day.
