The Trailblazers impress in league opener

An away game for the U11 Trailblazers against FC Burbage Lionesses.

Some great passing in the first half particularly, with a brilliant cross from Edie setting up Charlotte for the opening goal. We lost a bit of energy after half time but kudos to the girls who really dug in during the last quarter. Some great quick thinking from Tahlia for a nice goal in the last quarter.

We defended well all game, we impressed with our strength and the midfield came back to help the defence really well.

POMs were Edith (for good communication and some strong saves), Jeorgie and Charlotte (both pressed very well for the team), but all others who played were in the frame too.

Laurie, Florence and Hannah all used their strength well in defence. Edie, Melody and Sofia got about the pitch well, pressurising the opposition. Tahlia a couple of great through balls and finished her goal well.
