The Roses were up against GNG for the third time this season, previous meetings were a 1-1 draw in a friendly and a 2-1 win at Rushey Fields in the league. The Roses arrived at Whetstone Athletic for an afternoon kick-off with the bare eleven, a consequence of Easter Holidays, a later kick off and general unavailability. A good venue for football at Loughborough Grammar School and the pitches held up well from recent rain.
