After a number of postponed games due to the wet weather, the Blazers were back. Facing a trip to Next Gen Destroyers and a chance to progress in the cup. Cup fever was evident on the sidelines with the Blazers fans cheering every shot on goal and each smooth passing move. With shots on goal a plenty at both ends of the pitch, it made for a competitive match. A special note to both goalkeepers who pulled off a number of class saves throughout the match.
View from the dugout:
An excellent performance from the boys this morning and the quality of our play was at such a high level!
Goalscorers: Levi and Wyatt.
Player of the Match: Chance

Daniel: He made several low-down saves which were pure instinct. Always impressing in goal with saves a plenty and great play from the back with his throwing and kicking.
Freddie: Jinking and moving along the wing to start off attacking plays. Keeping the ball and the team moving forward to ease pressure at the back, or start of attacking plays.
Chance: Player of the Match on his Birthday! He was really positive in his play, always looking forward for a dribble or a pass. Taking on the defenders and almost had a birthday goal when throwing himself in to each goalscoring opportunity.
Wyatt: Commanding in the midfield. Winning the ball back and making things happen in the final 3rd. A mix of close range and lovely slotted finishes to add to his goal tally.
Easton: Driving at the defence to create opportunities for himself or his teammates. Finding space on plenty of occasions for shots at goal.
Levi: In and around the box, he is always composed when he has the ball at his feet. Another one of the goalscorers this week, goalkeepers and defenders fear his finishing.
Luca: Strolling out of defence with the ball at his feet, he is calm and composed. Keeping an eye on the defensive line throughout with great awareness.
Nathan: He can find a pass anywhere on the pitch, even when under pressure from more than one defender. He shows he can link the play brilliantly and even showcased his shooting from a freekick.
James: He worked hard in defence or on the wing. Winning the ball back with confident tackling and always looking for the forward pass.
Josh: In defence he had brilliant positional awareness to make the block. When up front he makes the defenders work, making space and then finding a pass for on rushing attackers.
On to the next round, well done Blazers!
