Ahead of the beginning of tournament football, the Blazers matched up against Nuneaton Borough for a Leicestershire v Warwickshire friendly clash.
With end to end football with brilliant goalkeeping and defending keeping the goalscorers out. Working the triangles and the angles for a shot, the Blazers had periods of lovely passing plays.
Goalscorer: Levi
View from the dugout:
A tough game for both sides particularly in the heat. Pleased with how the boys continued to work hard
Player of the Match - Easton

Easton – Took the attack to the opposition really well. Direct and pacy with his dribbling at the defence and was in dangerous goalscoring positions on a number of occasions.
Nathan – Is a fantastic communicator, letting team mates know when he's found a useful space between the lines. Helped keep passing moves flowing as well.
Luca – Swept up any danger and brings the ball forward with confidence. Always on his toes to track the player he is marking.
Daniel - Helping out his defence, with safe handling a number of reaction saves during the match.
Levi – Never stopped running. Chasing down attackers to defend and took his goals well with classy finishing.
Freddie – Showcased his quick feet and had the defenders in knots. Sneaking in to goalscoring positions, losing his defender well.
Chance – Hustled and harried the opposition. Never looking worried to put in a tackle. Made a number of great crosses in to the box.
James – Put his positional awareness on show, reading the through pass or blocking the shot to stop dangerous attacks.
Wyatt – Was unlucky not to be on the goal-scorers list, using his shooting boots a number of times. Even trying an outside of the foot corner kick!
Josh – Keeps a calm head in defence, even trying a back heel on one occasion. Putting his body on the line for a number of blocks.
Well done Blazers!
