After a few washouts, the Blazers were back for another epic matchday against Ashby Knights, hoping to end 2025 on a high.
With the Ultra's (Blazer fans) sleigh-in it, and after an age for coach Sam to figure out if the respect barrier was knotty or nice, the Blazers thought they would treat them'elf to a few goals!
There was nothing elfish about their play. They passed around the holiday cheer with slick passing plays, and snow one stopped running for the team throughout the game.
View from the dugout:
'It was a very good game and I thought the boys demonstrated their quality and determination. Lots of positives yet again'.
Goalscorers: Nathan and Wyatt
Man of the Match: Josh
Easton: Was out for this weeks game but we hope he is back soon!
Daniel: He showed his bravery throughout the match, throwing himself in front of several shots and diving at the feet of oncoming attackers to stop forward plays.
Luca: Composed on the ball. Has a great ability to be able to read a forward pass and intercept the ball before it causes any danger.
James: He never stopped running. He worked so hard to win the ball back from the opposition, leading the press when the team was defending.
Chance: Showed his silky skills and ability to travel with the ball at his feet. He never shys away from moving forward with the ball and putting the defence on the back foot.
Wyatt: Cool and calm in front of goal, adding to his growing goal tally. Working the ball forward in to forward areas with jinking dribbles or passes in to space.
Levi: Makes a step over look easy. Moving the defender one way before tricking past him. When waiting to receive the ball, he has a keen sense of how to find space between defenders.
Freddie: Has a brilliant awareness when playing in defence, organising his team mates and intercepting the ball with a brilliant bravery. When moving forward, is never afraid of a skilful dribble forward.
Nathan: He found his goalscoring boots with shots from distance. Commanding the middle of the pitch, breaking up opposition plays and moving the ball nicely.

Josh: Our Man of the Match. A constant threat for defenders, pushing the defenders back towards their own goal to create space for others. Showed his team play with a really nice pass to set up a goalscoring opportunity.
Sleigh it ain't so but that's a wrap for 2025. We are all looking forward to returning to match day during 2026!
