BLAZERS ICE COLD IN ATTACK!

With the winter Olympics under way, Blazers trip to Gillway was a gold medal level game. With more goals than games in the ice hockey, more twists and turns than the snowboarding, the end to end football quicker than the speed skating, and a team performance that was levels above any of the ski jumping.

Daniel: Sweeper keeper! Daniel was seeing diving at the feet of on rushing attacker on a number of occasions. He loves a dive and a finger tip top bins save to stop a certain goal.


Easton: Always on the front foot. Scanning and scoping out space to move in to receive the ball and keeping aware of where his team mates were for a forward passing play.


Luca: The last line of defence, keeping the attackers out showing fantastic awareness for sneaky interceptions of the ball, or brave blocking of goal bound shots.


James: Gliding forward from defence, he kept moving the ball moving forward with purposeful forward play and to disrupt the opposition forward plays.


Chance: Sneaking along the wing, always causing trouble for defenders. With great close control and movement to make space for several brilliant crosses into the box.


Wyatt: He brought his goalscoring boots along again this week. The supporter’s player of the match, he worked hard to win and keep the ball, and a number of worldie efforts at goal.


Levi: Keeping his goalscoring run going with a fine finish. Brilliant communication at attacking and defensive corners to sneak space for a shot, and to stop opportunities in and around goal.


Freddie: Jinking and moving along the wing to start off attacking plays. Keeping the ball and the team moving forward to ease pressure at the back, or start of attacking plays.


Nathan: Leading the line or holding his own in the midfield. Creating space for others or great passing play to set up goalscoring opportunities.


Josh: Movement in and around the box kept him in dangerous positions to sneak a goal. Showcasing his power shots at goal during the game.
