The Blazers are back and with a bang louder than any Christmas cracker during the festive break. Looking sharp in attack and accomplished in defence. The back garden shooting practice during the break has paid off for the Blazers, as they treated the watching fans with close range finishing, and long range efforts, to make it look like they were never away for the festive break.
View from the dugout:
Brilliant performance from the lads. They looked pleased to be back playing. On to the next one!
Goalscorers: Levi, James, Wyatt, Luca, Nathan & Easton
Man of the Match: Whole team for such a brilliant performance.
Daniel: Quick out to the loose ball when he needed to be. Kept a really good focus throughout the game, and his defence always feel confident as he has a safe pair of hands when called upon.
Easton: Got his name on the scoresheet. Opposition pressure, what pressure? A cool, calm, and confident approach to his play throughout the game. He really digs in to help in defence, marking, tackling and winning the ball. Further up the pitch he showed great awareness when making passing plays.
Luca: Showed pace and quick thinking when defending against oncoming attacks. Nipping in to win the ball on several occasions. Never afraid to dribble the ball forward too and had a cool finish for his goal.
James: Beckham who? His long-range finish seemed as if it was struck from as far away as Desford! Stepping into a tackle with no fear and showing great strength to keep the ball moving forward either in defence or midfield.
Chance: He works so hard for the team, he is always on the move. Showing brilliant awareness of where to pick up the loose ball. Showcased silky skills with twists and turns to have the defenders tied in knots.
Wyatt: Controlled the midfield so well. Stepping in to win the ball back with strength and determination, when winning it then kept his head up for a pass or to dribble into dangerous spaces. Got himself on the scoresheet with a tidy finish.
Levi: His twists and turns make the fans feel dizzy! Always looking to create a goalscoring opportunity, making space for others or a key pass, and showed a range of finishing to add a number of goals to his growing goal tally.
Freddie: With the ball at his feet, he never shy’s away from taking on a defender or two. His amazing drive to move the ball forward causes problems for defenders who spend a lot of the match going backwards to try to stop him.
Nathan: On the scoresheet again this week. His dynamic performance makes him such a great team player. Getting stuck in to help defend, and keeping the attacking plays flowing with lovely passing plays to unlock the defence.
Josh: He is a menace for opposition defenders, stealing a yard at the goal kick to win the ball back, or finding space in behind to create a goalscoring opportunity for himself or team mates.

On to the next one Blazers!
