Belles clinical in midweek match

Fresh from finishing runners up in the county cup final, the Belles travelled to Haunchwood in a mid-week fixture. A change in formation saw Scarlet partner Elcie in attack, with Sydney and Oliwia occupying the wide areas.

Right from the kick off it was clear the Belles were playing with confidence and freedom taking an early lead. Scarlet raced onto a through ball to finish beyond the goalkeeper. One quickly became two as Elcie confidently slotted home.

The Belles were attacking with intent as the opposition struggled with the quick and quality play. A ball through to Oliwia saw her turn inside and score.

A corner from the left saw Lols have a header saved well by the goalkeeper. The Belles defence were on the front foot as well, with Zoe at right back showing her quality.

A fourth goal came as Scarlet completed her brace. That was quickly followed by Oliwia getting hers. Changes were made as Lois dropped into defence as Darcy pushed forward. It didn't takeong for Darcy to race through and get her first goal of the game.

As Captain Caitlin drove forward and had a shot blocked, she poked the ball through to Elcie, who also completed her brace.

Half time came, with all the Belles being very happy with a brilliant first half display.

The second half started the same as the first half ended, with the Belles pushing forward. Sydney slammed home for her first goal for the Belles. The first of three Belles hat tricks were completed. Oliwia jinked through and scored. It was a truly amazing performance from her as her excellent season continues. Scarlet's corner kick was worked back to her, as she thumped the ball from long range into the roof of the net.

A hat trick of true quality from her. Eliza then finished at the far post from close range for her first goal of the game. Elcie was played through by a fantastic pass from Lols, she showed great composure to complete her hat trick.

Iris then got a goal but was unfortunate to be ruled offside! Monica dropped back into defence, as Darcy went forward and got her second of the game.

Then the game ended with a wonderful goal. Lola C who was absolutely brilliant in defence, played an amazing pass to Sydney as she finished into the corner as she also scored a brace. There was still time for Esme to demonstrate her commanding presence as she cleared well from a rare opposition attack.

The game ended with the Belles bouncing back in incredible fashion. A performance the oozed quality with lots of goals scored, including 3 Belles hat tricks!
