Astro-nomical performance from the Blazers

A close encounter between well matched sides as the Blazers took on Coalville Robins on the astroturf. Both goalkeepers were on top form to keep the scoreline low and the drama high. Superb passing and moving helped carve out numerous opportunities for the Blazers. A neat passing play and tidy finish saw Nathan on the scoresheet. Across the pitch, lots of hard work and running for the team both in defence and attack was on show.

A really entertaining game, some inspiring opposition goalkeeping but I thought we played great football this morning.

Goalscorers – Nathan

Nathan - With a birthday on the way he had a performance and a goal to celebrate. Kept the passing moves flowing with accurate passing either from the wing or from the centre of midfield.

Levi – A deserved player of the match award. Brilliant close control. Finding gaps between defenders for a pass or for a forward dribble to create a goalscoring chance.

Daniel – Commanded his area throughout the game. His distribution of the ball was on point, with accurate throws and passes to get the Blazers going forward.

Luca – Showcases great control of the ball particularly when the ball is flying forward at speed or through the air.

James – Always on the look out for danger. Sweeping up the loose ball and carrying it forward with confidence.

Freddie – The tricky winger, using both feet to move the ball forward at pace, catching out defenders and finding space.

Easton – Has a bullet of a shot, drifting in off the wing to fire in a shot or find space to receive a pass.

Chance – Had his running boots on today. Putting in pace down the wing and a brilliant crosser of the ball for an assist for the goal.

Wyatt – Has superb playmaker ability. Strength to move the ball forward when dribbling and awareness to pick out free players for a pass.

Josh – Showed brilliant positional awareness. Marking the attackers off the ball, or finding space for a piledriver shot.
