Cup games back-to-back for the Blazers, this time facing up against Next Gen in the Sheila Scott Cup. This week, Freddie and Wyatt were not able to play and we hope to have them both back soon. We hope you feel better soon Wyatt.
An end-to-end game played out in the Tamworth sunshine. The first half saw the Blazers come so close to opening the scoring, the Next Gen goalkeeper stopped every shot coming his way. After a calm and composed half time team talk, the Blazers came out more determined and found another level, with the Easter Bunny almost in sight they move through to the next round at the final whistle.

Goalscorers - Nathan, James, Levi, and Josh.
View from the dugout:
I thought that was an excellent performance. Second half they did everything we asked and raised the level even more!
James – Player of the match! A great finish for his goal and a deserved goal for all the running and commitment he showed throughout the game.
Chance – Player of the match! He never gives up, when winning the ball back he puts in the hard work to give the attackers plenty to think about.
Daniel – He made several low-down diving saves to help out the defenders. When clearing the ball, his passing was pinpoint.
Luca – Never caught napping on the ball. Keeping an eye out for a pass, or for the movement of defenders to keep the ball away from the box.
Nathan – A calm finish for his goal. He pops up all over the pitch, collecting the ball to move the play forward or popping up to pressure the oncoming attackers.
Josh – A poachers goal, sticking the biggest of toes on to the ball just as the goalkeeper was about to grab the ball. At the back, great positioning and calm clearances.
Easton – Driving forward and making forward plays happen. He has great awareness for a through ball to the sticker before the defender moves too close.
Levi – His close control of the ball gives the defenders all sorts of problems as he twists and turns. Finding space in and around the box for a tidy finish for his goal.
Go on the Blazers! Happy Easter everyone!
