Sonics show what they are capable of
What an absolutely fantastic first half from the sonics today, worked amazing as a team, dominating in possession and working well out of possession. The sonics showed what they are so very capable of doing and now we just need to keep that intensity for the full 60 minutes. Two players today stood out one being David in goal who made some fantastic saves throughout the game, covered his box really well and worked as a team with his defenders to play the ball out from the bac

Sonics supporting each other all over the pitch
Evenly matched first half with some great play and went into half time at 1 all! Sadly the second half we didn’t show up as well which was a shame, but was something to learn from! Ben and George F volunteered to both go in goal with David not very well and both did a great job. Player of the Match - Max T Jake returned to the wing and had some great corners into the box. Player of the Match - Freya Jack in the first half also took an excellently taken goal. But today for the

Will setting the standard for Sonics
Another competitive game for the Sonics this morning in an early start away at division one side Dosthill Boys. It’s fair to say Dosthill started the stronger, being first to most loose balls and not giving us time on the ball. As the first half progressed, the Sonics grew into the game and certainly didn’t give the opposition an easy ride. The game was played at a frantic pace with both sides, finding it difficult to retain possession. The Sonic’s, having been pressed for la

Sonics having to step up in high competition
Game of two half in terms of the score line, but overall an excellent game played by the sonics. They have been drawn in the top league of the TJFL and it’s a fantastic testament for all of the sonics efforts and today showed they can hold their own in with the big boys! We started with three at the back and quickly transitioned to four, a formation which the sonics adapted to really well. Everyone from David in goal to the strikers of Max T, Jack and Max W worked their socks

Sonics progress in the cup
A very stop start game throughout with the Sonics holding their game and being resilient throughout. Coming out the winners in a great battle of a cup game. A very positive start from the off with movement allowing James to take a shot in the first minute, he continued throughout the game with his crosses being delivered into the box. George F on the left wing also worked hard and crossed in, he made an excellent run to by pass the last defender and GK and scored a great goal

Sonics battle it out in the Cup
Definite cup battle today! End to end, opposition made it hard to score and parked the bus with 8 players on the goal line at times and for corners everyone was back. We did make it hard for ourselves at time going down the middle too much and not out to the wings enough. We went down one nil to a counter attack play in the first half. George F with the near last kick of the first half scored to take it even into half time. Every sonic battled throughout from William, Freya a

What a team performance from the Sonics!
Cup game today with ALL Sonics immense in and out of possession, they never gave up! As a team we played some excellent team football, every player today had really worked on their receiving and releasing today and it made such a difference! David had a quieter game today, but what he did do he did really well, his distribution of the ball out to the wings from his kick was superb. The mini defensive team of Freddie, Freya, Ben and William were working together reacting toget

Sonics Start with Tough Cup Match
Start of the season, cup game and one of the strongest teams in the league! The Sonics responded maturely, with skill, pace and fire! The defensive line of Freya, William, Ben, Freddie and James were constantly pressed and had a great ‘mini team’ game working together and clearing the lines. David in goal made some fantastic shot stopping saves. We played more defensive today and that meant we had three in the middle which alternated but mainly consisted of Arlo, Jenson and G
