Sonics having to step up in high competition
Game of two half in terms of the score line, but overall an excellent game played by the sonics.
They have been drawn in the top league of the TJFL and it’s a fantastic testament for all of the sonics efforts and today showed they can hold their own in with the big boys!
We started with three at the back and quickly transitioned to four, a formation which the sonics adapted to really well.
Everyone from David in goal to the strikers of Max T, Jack and Max W worked their socks off!
The defensive line of William, Freya, Freddie, Ben, Max T and George F were solid. George G, James, Max W, James and George F playing in the midline and looking for the release of the ball were superb.
But two players stood out today, one of those was Ben who is really excelling in the defence, his ability to header, tackle, win balls is fab to see and something which stood out massively today was his ability to cover his defensive team mates and sweep across to make a vital tackle, his speed is second to none!
The other player of the week was George F, his speed and positional play on the left wing was excellent, his crosses of the ball into the box and attacks with pace, but he also stepped up and into the left back position which he offered to do and he executed the role in a fantastic manner!
Well done Ben and George F a fab performance and one that you both and all of the team should be mightily proud of!
