STOPPER WILL SUPERB

I was really happy with the lads today. This game wasn’t about the scoreline or the result — it was a friendly designed to give me the chance to try different things and assess commitment, performance, and attitude across the team.

Individually, every single player was brilliant. Each one gave exactly what I asked of them, and their effort and focus were outstanding. As a team, it didn’t quite click at times, but that’s completely fine — I experimented with new formations and played lads in different positions, which was the whole point of the exercise.

Overall, I’m genuinely super proud of them and very happy with the performance.

Man of the Match:

Will — he was absolutely superb today. He pulled off some outstanding saves and commanded his area with real authority. Top performance, Will!
