Sonics met a team who in the first half had many players behind every ball and were that bit quicker to the ball. We conceded and in a way it was the kick to spur the Sonics on.
James reacted shortly after and buried a ball into the back of the net and after a very well delivered corner into the box by Louie, Jenson pounced to score for the Sonics. In the first half David made a super save to help keep us in the game and his goal kicks to the sides were brilliant to see! Half time talk was literally tackle the ball and be quicker to it and it will help you to play YOUR football. Well from the whistle George had ran forwards from nearly the side line attacked and hammered home his first fantastic goal, but that wasn’t enough for George he carried on to gain his hat trick!
James today also gained a hat trick with an all round brilliant game. Jack battled hard today as striker and got round the goal keeper and struck home a well deserved goal. Ben on the wing was fast and working so hard off the ball to make some magic moments for the sonics.
Tom and Jenson in the centre mid, worked hard on positioning, releasing the ball and setting up goals as well. William, Freya and Louie in defence worked hard to mark the opponents tightly to keep them out of the game, worked together, and read the game well to release the ball up the pitch.

Max T was predominantly in defence and what a controlled, level headed, dominant game he had, with a near goal from the half way line which hit the cross bar, the biggest noise I think came from the crowd!

Today for their control in their respective positions, maturity on the pitch and constant team work, David in goal and Max were awarded player of the week.
Well done boys and Sonics!
