SONICS SUPERB TEAM SPIRIT

Early start for the sonics today and from the off they played with fantastic TEAM spirit! The passing on display today was some of the best we have seen all season but the ball in the first half just would not go in the net!! Leighton, George and Tom had some lovely triangle play which we had been working on the left hand side, with some lovely crosses of the ball from George into the box.

Player of the Match - David

David in goal was strong to the ball and commanded his box really well. Freya, James and William in defence worked together for every ball and for each other and held a solid defensive line with Leighton. Jenson had some lovely releases of the ball from the centre to Tom or out to the wings, Max and Jack as strikers worked hard to get into positions to release the ball and Max even won a penalty for his efforts. Jake on the right wing started to really break free and cut in behind players and was rewarded with a goal.

Today for two different reasons we split player of the week. For the efforts in the first half Leighton’s touch, vision to pass and go forwards and all round effort won him player of the week. Then for the whole of the game and for commanding his area, excellent distribution of the ball from the box and communication, player of the week also went to a David.
