SONICS SCORE WITH LAST KICK

With 3 players out this week the Sonics put on a stellar performance against the Diamonds with a final score of 2-2.

The Sonics scored early in the first half with a cracking free kick from Louie just outside the box. We had a few chances on goal, however we headed into half time level at 1-1.

With defence standing strong and midfield, wingers and strikers battling for every ball we went into the second half playing some awesome football.

We got our second goal from Max W but this was sadly deemed to be just offside. In the dying minutes of the game the opposition scored their second goal, however when we thought all was lost in the last 30 seconds super Tom “the midfield general” takes a chance and launches a huge kick from the half way line and lobs the keeper to make the final score 2-2.

After playing against the same team last week, the performance today from EVERY player was outstanding. The Sonics, week on week show true grit and determination and never give up. Even when things get tough their team spirit and solidarity win’s through.
