Sonics make coaches proud

We intentionally played a team who were in a harder league/above us in level and as a TEAM for the majority of the game we matched their pace, intensity, strength and all round ability and the coaches today were immensely proud of them ALL on what was a HOT day!
From excellent saves in goal, to a trio in defence who worked as their own mini team to remove the danger, to the wingers who ran the line to attack and defend and the ‘pivots’ in centre mid who were tasked with making the play, to the strikers who worked to split the defenders and attack the goal - EVERYONE did exceptionally well against an MJPL team.

The players of the week this week though went to David who in goal made some absolutely fantastic saves to keep us in the game, his distribution of the ball was also really good and this is something he has worked on and excelled with today.

George also was also player of the week for his ability to win one v one battles, playing in different roles but also his ability to transition into attack and head for goal. Well done sonics brilliant end to the season.
