FREYA AND JAKE EARN THEIR STRIPES

Fresh and bright morning, with a promising start from all sonics. The defence week in week out keep impressing us with their ability to talk, work together, whether that is pressing up the pitch or tracking back to defend as a unit. Freya, Leighton, William, James and Ben did an excellent job there and helped to make David’s job in a little easier. That said, what David did do in goal was command his box, talk to his players and make crucial saves.

Those on the wings worked hard to run the line, cut in when required and release the ball to the box when the moment was right, George, both Max’s, Jake completed this job really well today. Strikers in the form of Jack, James and both Max’s remained strong, in the correct position and fighting for every ball.

James having the correct position on the pitch allowed him to slot home a goal as well. The midfield of Tom and Jenson worked hard on their positioning today and with the releasing of the ball to team mates. The duo in the middle worked well together and for each other and with all their hard work Tom managed to score two goals and Jenson one!

Player of the Match - Jake

This week though two players stood out, one was Freya for her marking of one of the opposition players who was tall and strong but she managed to keep with him, get the ball and release the ball up the pitch to team mates with composure throughout the game. The second player of the week was Jake and this was for his fantastic wing efforts, he ran the line at speed and the more the game progressed the more he was excellently crossing the ball to the box, his lovely feet and passing allowed for two goals to be scored by his team mates!
