FANTASTIC TO BE BACK FOR SONICS!

Five weeks of no game so was fantastic to be playing today! Slow start from the sonics after some fabulous work in training over the last two weeks. When we connected the ball between players, played those triangles we had worked on and put in tackles we were good, we just needed more of that and some luck on our side!

Hitting the cross bar on two occasions, balls into the box and just not getting down quick enough for us to bury into the back of the goal and infairness the opposition GK made some saves to prevent more goals.

Today was a day we had to take our chances more but they were hard to find, some players played in different positions today like Max T in defence who did an excellent job and David coming outfield as striker for a bit, this was really good to see.

Towards the end of the game Tom had broke free, released to Jenson, back to Tom both shot on goal and eventually Tom slotted it home! Some brill play between the defenders of Leighton, Freya, William, Louie, Max T and Ben throughout the game.

Both David and Ben in goal made some strong saves, midfield of Tom, Jenson, Louie, Max W and Louie were looking to gain and release the ball, wingers in George, Jake and Max T also worked hard to run the line and cross the ball into the box with Jack, Max W and David working strong as strikers.

One person just had the edge today and that was Jenson, he was working hard to return the ball and cleanly release it, looking for the next pass always and was strong on the ball. Well done today to Jenson and all of the Sonics!
