Euan defends brilliantly

AFC Market Bosworth Bullets made the trip to face Haunchwood Hammers in a tightly contested away fixture that proved to be a hard-fought battle from start to finish.

The first half saw both sides struggle to create clear-cut chances, with strong defensive work limiting opportunities in the final third.

Possession was shared fairly evenly, but neither team managed to seriously test the opposition goalkeeper for much of the half. However, just as it looked like the teams would head into the break level, Haunchwood found the breakthrough. Unfortunately for AFC, the decisive moment came very late in the second half. Haunchwood were awarded a free kick in a dangerous area, and the resulting effort found its way into the back of the net, dealing a gutting blow to AFC in the closing minutes of the match.

Despite the disappointing result, AFC Market Bosworth Bullets showed resilience and determination throughout the game, and there were plenty of positives to take from a closely contested performance.
