In a game where the score was a mystery to many, as everyone was enjoying the football too much to keep track, it was fantastic to see such a strong team effort from the boys.
George stepped in for Em in goal and put in a great performance, making some excellent saves throughout the game. Ashton put in the hard yards at the back, chasing down everything that got beyond the defensive line.
Jayden provided great cover and hooked the ball away on a couple of key occasions. Eddie, strong as always, completed the back line and stood up well to every challenge.
In midfield, Jude moved the ball around well, combining some great passing with determined runs. He scored all four of the Blades’ goals, with a number of his teammates providing the assists. Jackson battled hard, winning the ball back from the opposition several times, as well as making some lovely runs towards goal. Freddie held the play up well, giving his teammates time to get forward, and played some lovely through balls for the forwards to run onto.
Harry made some great runs, causing the opposition to scramble to cut out his shots on a number of occasions in the first half. He then switched to the right wing, where he continued to cause problems and drew players out wide.
Henry chased down a number of lost balls and won several back for the team. A couple of lovely forward passes from him created some great opportunities for the boys in pink.
Charlie was as fast as ever down the left wing, battling hard to win possession and making some useful runs forward.

Overall, it was a fantastic team effort. For those who were interested in keeping track of the score, it finished 7–4. The boys showed great resilience, especially after going three goals behind, fighting their way back and showing exactly what they are made of.
