Bullets impress with second half display
Another home fixture was on the cards for the Bullets as AFC welcomed Albert Village Harriers.
After a steady warm-up, both teams lined up and it was the visitors who made the brighter start. Albert Village created a number of early chances and made life difficult for an AFC side that got off to a very uncharacteristically slow start.
Albert Village took the lead midway through the first half with a well-worked goal. However, the lead didn't last long, as AFC responded with an equaliser to bring the game level going into the break.
At half-time, the coaches challenged the boys to raise their work rate, move the ball quicker, enjoy their football and, most importantly, look after possession when they had it.
A change of formation to the old-school 4-4-2 seemed to make a real difference. AFC came out for the second half with a completely different attitude and much more confidence on the ball. The organisation all over the pitch improved, the work rate was raised, and suddenly the football started to flow.
The Bullets took control of the second half, moving the ball with confidence and creating chance after chance. The contrast between the first and second-half performances was plain to see, with AFC showing exactly what they are capable of when they work hard for each other and play with confidence.
A fantastic team performance in the second half saw the Bullets secure all three points, with plenty of goals to celebrate along the way.

An all-round outstanding performance from Jacob in the middle of the park. From providing a strong physical presence and winning the ball back, to picking up possession and dribbling past players with ease, Jacob was a constant threat throughout the game.
He listened to everything that was asked of him and delivered exactly what the team needed, showing great determination, confidence and composure on the ball.
Two well-deserved goals capped off an excellent individual performance, but Jacob's contribution didn't stop there. Towards the end of the second half, he was asked to drop back and play at centre-back, and once again he stepped up and did exactly what was required.
A fantastic all-round performance from Jacob and a thoroughly deserved Player of the Match award.
