A fang-tastic performance from the Blazers.
The Blazers were full of spooky spirit today as they took to the pitch for a Halloween football adventure away at Stoneydelph! A fang-tastic performance from all our football stars. Every player worked hard, supported their teammates and never gave up, proving they were more treat than trick! When asked by the coaching team to be forward focused with their passing, the team put on a boo-tiful display of passing and communication. There was no need for magic spells today, the football did the talking!
View from the bench:
Brilliant gritty performance from the lads. All were amazing, well done all
Goalscorers - Josh, Wyatt, Nathan, James, Freddie (his first of the season!)
Blazer of the Week - Freddie
Nathan - was bombing forward and making dangerous runs in to the box. Putting it all in for the team, he came off with a nasty injury but we know he'll bounce back!
Chance - he was involved in several key passing plays. Showing how confident he is on the ball, making sweeping cross field passes and brave in the challenge. Another who we know will bounce back from an injury!
Wyatt - controls the midfield. Never shy's away from winning the ball back and has an eye for a pass, or a ball in to space which causes defensive problems.
Josh - brought his scoring boots this week. Arrowing the ball in to the bottom corner, after reading the space and sneaking behind the defenders.
Freddie - scoring worldies, worked hard for the team in defence and attack, and was on point with the accuracy of his passing. A very much deserved Blazer of the week award.
Levi - heavily involved in the assists. Bringing in defenders with his quick feet dribbling, and having the awareness to make that defence splitting pass.
Daniel - a quality full stretch save early in the second half was the icing on the cake of a commanding and confident performance.
Noah - did anyone get past him all game? We don't think so. Stealthy in his pressure and on point with his defensive positioning, then sneaking in to win the ball back.
James - becoming a set piece specialist, his accuracy of passing and shooting makes him deadly from set pieces. Another who was brave when under pressure.
Luca - must have been practicing his skills this week. Was faultless in sweeping up the loose ball and using his tricks to bring the ball away when under pressure from the opposition.
Well done Blazers!
