BOSIE ON THE ROAD

AFC 12s went up against Nuneaton Borough Panthers in their first away game as a team. Spirits were high following on from a promising result in the week prior and a sharp warm up really proved that.

Bosworth got underway creating chances down the flanks and attempting to put balls in the box that were fiercely cut out by stubborn borough back line.

A lot of the play came through thursday’s trainer of the week Sara who took everything she did in training and took it into the game by magnificently turning her opposing player and carrying the ball to play forwards into space.

This game proved to be the biggest physical battle we have faced yet and the girls did an excellent job to match the physicality whilst remaining fair and within the laws of the game. We were very proud to see it.

Unfortunately a relentless downpour of shots from the borough frontline eventually proved too hot to handle for our inexorable back line, however were it not for our player of the match Millie, the score could have been a few more.
