A GAME OF TWO HALVES

What a game to kick off the season – it really was a game of two halves!
In the first half, the boys were fantastic. We controlled the tempo, passed the ball around with confidence, and played some really attractive football. It was great to see the team working together and moving the ball so well – we looked in complete control and played with real style.
The second half brought a different challenge. The opposition, even with 10 men, showed their quality and made things difficult for us and when they equalised, they gained momentum, but this is where the learning comes in for us. Staying calm, keeping our shape, and sticking to our football will make the difference in future games. These experiences are invaluable, and they’ll only make us stronger as the season goes on.

Defensively, we were excellent throughout, and the boys can be really proud of how they stood up to the test. A special mention to Billy, who was brilliant at the back, showing real composure.
Our Player of the Match goes to Ewan, who was simply outstanding. He read the game brilliantly, defended with purpose, and showed great maturity beyond his years. A rock at the back and a superb performance – well done, Ewan!
Plenty of positives to take away, lots of good football played, and some important lessons learned. It’s only the first game, and we have everything to play for this season.
Well done, boys!
