MAGIC MIKE BAGS HAT-TRICK

Coming off a heartbreaking last minute draw last weekend against Quorn, AFC Market Bosworth needed a big reaction. Coming into the first 10 it was a cagey affair but around the 15 minute mark Rory picked up the ball in a dangerous area and wrapped a lovely strike into the far corner to put the boys in blue and black up 1-0.

Shortly after Bosworth’s number 10 and MOTM magic Mike put the home side 2 up with a tidy finish into the left side netting. After this goal opposition heads were starting to go with a few yellows dished out to calm the temper of the game.

Shortly before half time AFC’s midfield maestro Dec Goodman hit a strike from distance which dipped perfectly to beat the keeper and put AFC up 3-0 at half time with a brilliant display both in attack and defence.

Shortly into the second half AFC were caught sleeping with a mistake leading to a goal completely against the run of play for born ballers to make it 3-1. The mighty Bos didn’t panic and again Mike managed to hit the back of then net from a defensive error netting his second of the game. This goal really affected the opposition who decided to argue with each other in particular the centre half (which if he’d been half as good as defending as he was at arguing with his teammates they might have been ok).

A second fell for the opposition with a loose ball in and around the box. The defence didn’t panic at all with a strong performance all game from the back four and Matt once brought on.

Shortly followed a 5th and a 6th goal to kill the game off with goals from Mike to finish off a brilliant hat-trick with a lovely one two with the opposing keeper rooted to the spot and Rees finally bagging to keep his tally up for the season. Full time blew with a very much needed 3 points for the boys in blue and black hoping to build some momentum onto next week.

A fantastic performance from all the lads who left everything on the pitch.
