Blazers back for pre-season

After the summer break, the Blazers were back for their first friendly of the new season against Coalville.

Blazers in Pre-Season

The Blazers never looked like they had been away for the summer break. Their passing and moving was another level, the composure on the ball of a Ballon d'Or winner, their passing like a tiki taka Spanish side, and everyone in the side putting in all their effort to support in attack and help out in defence. The travelling fans and our coaching team were very impressed with this for a first friendly of the season.

I believe that was probably our best footballing performance with all the boys composed on the ball. The standard was fantastic

Goalscorers - Levi and Freddie

Blazers of the Week - Freddie and Josh

Freddie - Showing the way in attack, with the ball at his feet he was confident and direct and clinical in his finishing.

Josh - Made several key blocks. Playing out from the back, he had a tidy control of the ball and a superb accuracy with his passing.

Daniel - When the attackers sneaked in, he would not let them past. Great diving saves and a command of his area throughout.

James - Swept up any loose passes from the opposition and must have ran miles to block, tackle and move the ball forward.

Nathan - Commanded the middle of the pitch. Going box to box to support the team in finding space in attack and helping out the defence.

Levi - Always positive in his play. Looking to move the ball forward with it at his feet or with the pass. Brilliant finishing for his goals.

Wyatt - Never fears collecting the ball in tricky situations and making space, or finding space to keep the ball moving.

Chance - Our flying winger, either working back to support defence, or showing his speed in tricking his way past defenders and putting in a cross.
