TOUGH BATTLE FOR SONICS

Strong opposition today which we knew we would face and the first 15 minutes the Sonics were a credit to themselves and held their own, closing down and playing their football.

There was pockets of good play and bits to be very proud of. Whether that was the defenders closing down and going for those last ditch tackles, the mid fielders looking to receive and play out, the wingers looking to run and attack the lines or the striker fighting for every ball, they all played with every bit of energy they had.

A special mention has to go to David who was called on so much in this game, he made some excellent saves in goal and was a credit to himself n terms of what he did and what he stopped going in. Today though two players stood out, both worked tirelessly throughout the game, they chased every ball, they never gave up, they were always looking to release to team mates or trying for goal it was on.

Player of the Match - George and Jack

Todays players of the game were Jack as striker for his 110% given to attack every ball and to George who ran the line continuously and marked as requested touch tight on his opponent throughout - brilliant commitment. Well done Jack and George and all the Sonics!
