Bullets back on home soil
Another home fixture for AFC saw the Bullets welcome Chasetown Youth to Ravenstone in what was always going to be a physical and competitive encounter.
The match started as an even affair, with Chasetown looking to attack but the Bullets defended well and stood firm. As the first half progressed, AFC began to raise the tempo and really made use of the huge pitch at Ravenstone.
Moving the ball quickly and intelligently, the Bullets used the pace out wide and up front to their advantage, stretching the Chasetown defence and creating plenty of opportunities. The pressure eventually paid off, with AFC taking their chances well and finding the back of the net on several occasions.
At the break, the Bullets found themselves in a comfortable position, but the job was far from finished.
The second half became much more physical, with Chasetown bringing a strong physical presence to the game and at times rattling the Bullets. However, encouragement from the dugout helped the boys stay composed and keep their focus.
Rather than getting drawn into the physical side of the game, AFC let the football do the talking. The Bullets continued to create chances, moving the ball well and eventually finding the net numerous times throughout the second half.
A fantastic all-round performance from the boys, showing that when they stay calm, play their football and work for each other, they are a difficult team to stop.

A fantastic performance in the middle of the park sees Hudson deservedly take home the Player of the Match award! 👏⚽
Hudson produced a calm, composed and collected display throughout the game. He was excellent in the physical battles, winning his duels and never backing away from the challenge.
His ability to connect the play was also a real highlight, showing great awareness and quality on the ball to help keep AFC moving forward. An all-round quality performance from start to finish.
And to top it all off, Hudson capped his performance with a brilliantly placed free kick from the edge of the area, leaving the goalkeeper with absolutely no chance!
A complete midfield performance and thoroughly deserved recognition.
