The Bossie Belles got underway for game week 2 of the 25/26 season with a challenging game against Rugby Borough U12s. Following on from an incredibly productive training session on the Thursday, AFC started the game strong.
The ball was kept fantastically in midfield and a plethora of exciting passes were threaded through to our pacey frontline.
Relentless waves of attack were smartly swept up by our stalwart defence and cooly collected to then start an attack.
Todays player of the match was brave enough to play out of position and step between the sticks to veto the hail storm of power shots that came her way in the second half. Mala’s intelligent passing from goal kicks allowed us to quickly play out and create chances that eventually led us to our goal.

That ball was fizzed out to Freya who took it into her own hands to fabulously weave her way in and out of tenacious tackles from her own half, take it round the keeper and slot the ball home into the bottom corner.
Unfortunately, the belles fell one goal short, full time score 2-1. The score does not reflect the performance, well done Belles!
