A massive away-day effort from the Bullets!
The Bullets faced their first away fixture of the season with a trip to Alrewas Colts, and it was always going to be a huge ask for the boys.
With just 11 players available and no substitutes, every single player knew they were going to have to dig deep and put in a real shift against a hardworking Alrewas side.
From the first whistle, AFC made a steady start, keeping their shape well and moving the ball around nicely. The opening stages saw the Bullets create a few opportunities, but some good defending from Alrewas kept the game tight, with both sides battling hard for control.
Late in the first half, a driving run into the box saw an AFC winger brought down, leaving the referee with no hesitation in pointing to the spot. Penalty to AFC!
Cool, calm and composed, the penalty was slotted away to give the Bullets a deserved 1–0 lead going into the break.
The second half saw AFC come out even more organised. The boys continued to keep possession, move the ball and deal with the threats Alrewas were throwing at them. Despite having no fresh legs available from the bench, the Bullets continued to battle and create chances.
As the game went on, the hard work began to pay off, with AFC finding the back of the net with two well-worked goals, giving the boys some breathing room.
With tired legs beginning to creep in, the Bullets continued to show tremendous character and determination. And then came the icing on the cake…
A beautifully delivered corner found its way into the danger area and was met by a well-struck volley, sending the ball into the back of the net and rounding off an excellent team performance.
With no substitutes available, every single one of the 11 players gave absolutely everything from start to finish. The boys showed commitment, discipline, teamwork and a fantastic work ethic to secure a well-deserved result on the road.

Well done, Bullets!
After another fantastic team effort from the Bullets, the Player of the Match award was deservedly handed to Archie.
Playing out wide, Archie put in a brilliant all-round performance, showing an excellent work rate throughout the game. He was constantly looking to get forward on the counter-attacks, providing an attacking threat, while also putting in the hard work to track back and fulfil his defensive duties.
In the second half, Archie really started to show his attacking finesse, playing with confidence and causing problems for the Alrewas defence. His hard work was rewarded when he got himself on the scoresheet, capping off an excellent individual display.
It was great to see Archie playing with that confidence again and showing exactly what he can bring to the team.
