JAMES STRONG IN TOUGH MATCH

Hard day for the sonics today, found it hard to get going and break down the opposition against a well drilled Atherstone side.

All players who worked as a striker pushed forward to try and attack the goal with Max T going close at one point towards the end of the second half, the midfield and wingers also worked hard and tracked forwards well and at times we were caught out on getting back but were speeding to help out the defence.

David was definitely tested and made some strong saves, the defensive line started to work as a unit more and were talking more in terms of who pushes up more and who remains close on the striker and this will continue to strengthen.

Player of the Match - James

One player who stood out not only for their strong defensive skills but also their stint as striker was James. When James commits to a challenge he is strong, and when he attacks as a striker he gives his full effort and his strength really woke up the sonics and helped them gain some momentum, well done James and all of the Sonics!
