On a hot afternoon, the U13s did battle in the Major Cup Final with old foes Ambleside.

Playing on a huge playing surface on a hot day this was a test of stamina for the lads.

The team started well and were rewarded when Noah played in Zach who showed his customary speed to split the Ambleside defence and slot into the corner.

Ambleside responded strongly and looked dangerous before Harry picked up the ball on the right and crossed for Jordan to head home.

There was time for Will to head home a corner in front of his mates behind the goal before Charlie pulled off a pivotal save with seconds remaining in the first half.

Into the second half and Zach picked up the ball on the edge of the box before slotting a great finish home and Joe scored a great volley from a trademark long throw.

Some huge performances all over the pitch with Zach in electric form, Riley, Lewis and Filip in determined form at the back and Noah picking up player of the match voted by the league Committee.
