The U12 boys made the away trip to Tamworth this week as they took on Stoneydelph Cougars on a sunny Saturday morning.
AFC Bosworth came out of the blocks at a rapid pace and took the lead within the opening minutes as Charley delivered a cross that was tapped in at the far post by Jack who reacted fastest.
With the opposition stunned the boys maintained a high energy that saw them dominate possession and were rewarded with a penalty as Kaydan was fouled in the box. Whilst the resulting spot kick was saved the boys shifted another gear as they started to pass the ball around with confidence; Toby reaping the reward with a well taken chance to double AFCB's lead.
Mason and Theo battled continuously in midfield as the boys strived to win every ball and as half time approached Leo hit a long range effort which was deflected into the back of the net to provide AFCMB with a comfortable cushion heading into the break.
Stoneydelph looked to react in the 2nd half as they began to see more of the ball but were kept at bay; Brody making several good challenges as the opposition failed to break through.
As the game opened up both Sam and Alekh ventured higher up the pitch and exploited the spaces to support attack, Colt holding the ball up well up front whilst Kaydan continued to create chances with his quick feet.
Toby put the game out of reach following a lovely move; linking up brilliantly with Charley to finish confidently and make it 4 - 0.
As the game drew to a close AFC Bosworth were caught on the break which saw Stoneydelph grab a consolation and deny Will what would have been a well deserved clean sheet.
Despite the goal the boys saw out the victory in what was overall a brilliant performance from them all.
Toby was influential throughout and also bagged a brace which saw him take home Player of the Match.
