This is what Saturday mornings were made for - seeing a wonderful group of boys working together, remembering their training and getting their reward with an excellent performance!

An outstanding TEAM performance today against one of our toughest opponents. We were organised, tenacious and creative and the boys played outstanding football from start to finish.

Will marshalled a super effective defensive line of Rien, Sam and Alekh. Each player calmly passed the ball out from the back, made incisive interceptions and kept excellent positions. Insightful passing from the back freed up wingers Jack and Kayden who were tenacious in attack and pressing the ball when out of possession all game.

Arun had another effective match in center midfield, tracking back and pushing forward to support Leo in attack. Striker Leo continued to be a menace upfront, pressing the defenders and moving across the forward line to create space and opportunities for his team mates.

And let's not forget Will in goal; for periods of the game Will had to stay concentrated and make saves when called upon. Some clever distribution and organising of the team helped the U9s excel.
