Last 7 aside league game for the sonics and only 7 players and one word summed up the game… TEAMWORK! What a pleasure to watch them play, but more importantly to do it with minimal coaching.

Freya, Leighton and William worked as a trio at points and helped each other in terms of positioning. Freya was solid to the ball, intercepted a few and passed the ball forwards under control.

William on the wing was quick and made some excellent bursts forwards, he also took a well deserved goal!

George in goal in the first half was solid and made some fantastic saves, on the pitch he added life and slotted home towards the end of the match for again a well deserved goal.

Jake today was one of the first half game makers, his wing work did not go unnoticed, he was zooming down the wing and crossing balls into the box and one of his corners nicely found Jack and Jack put home a well taken goal. Jake also had a stint in goal and made it look effortless!

Jack as striker today gained his mentioned well taken goal, but he also did the role asked of him to be a menace to the defence and to keep attacking for the ball, he did this really well today.

Jenson being back today gave another option for centre mid and his distribution in the first half with both feet similar to Jake did not go unmissed, he was attacking the goal well but his passing game seemed to have stepped up another level today and he did a fantastic job.

Leighton today started in defence and with Freya gave us that great stability, he was first to get to the ball, impressive in distributing the ball forwards to the wingers and then as winger ran and attacked well, but also tracked back to help defend, he also went in goal today and did a fab job.

Today for his all round effort, determination and skill Leighton was the player of the week. Well done Leighton and all the sonics on your last 7 aside league game.
