Well after last Saturdays horrendous weather for football the Sonics got to play in glorious sunny conditions today! The children took a little time to warm up and get going but when they did, they played some of their best passing football of the season.

Ben started in goal and made two secure saves, Kayden, Jack, Jake, William and George all rotated in attacking positions in the first half and made some strong passes to each other and drives forward onto goal. It saw George and Jake capitalise in the first half with some goals.

James and Freya shared the defensive duty and held their line very well and contributed some good balls forwards allowing the attacking players to press forwards.

The second half saw players switching positions on the pitch and again working really hard together putting the ball forward and all of them making runs forwards towards the goal. Ben stood out with one super sonic run where he zoomed back to clear the ball from going in our goal.

William and Jake connected with a ball through onto goal which saw a fantastic little run, Kayden and George were in the midst of all pushing forwards and attempts on goal. Freya remained strong in defence but pushed further forwards at times and James went on the attack for a goal and also went as GK and with power kicked the ball forwards.

All that said the player of the week went to someone who played in goal and was strong and who also played defensively and in attack throughout the game, but he also got a goal in the last few minutes as the icing on the cake! Today's player of the week was Jack!
