Today we had a full squad and started strong.

The attack were pushing forward through George, Jack and Kayden. Freya has started to shine as a defender and started in that position today and throughout the game, she gave a good battle against the boys!

Goal duties were shared in the first half between James and Jack and they didn’t have too much to do but what they did they did very well. Ben had a stint in defence and made an amazingly super sonic run across the pitch to make a tackle! He also stepped up and did a half in goal and did a brilliant job.

Throughout the game Jake made some strong tackles and runs forwards, William was strong in his tackles and had a super shot which bounced off the post, the sidelines erupted and the energy of the Sonics all picked up from that! George, Kayden, Jack, Jake, William and James all worked hard throughout the second half and progressed the ball up the pitch and were on for goal a few times. However, it was James who capitalised with a run and powerful shot on goal!! James also made further runs for goal and it was his all round effort in the game that saw him as player of the week! Well done Sonics and James!
